Distributed Proofreaders is a web-based interface and an international community of volunteers who help converting public domain books into e-books. For this exhibition they proofread the Mundaneum publications that appeared before 1923 and are in the public domain in the US. Their collaboration meant a great relief for the members of Algolit. Less documents to clean up!
All the proofread books have been made available on the Project Gutenberg archive.
